Workshops
Middle and High Schools troops often conduct workshops for younger troops. The older girls are building leadership experience and perhaps earning money toward their Silver and Gold Awards and/or travel. The younger girls get to see Girl Scouts in action!
Workshop Ideas
Below are topics from past workshops. Leaders can contact the troop leaders of older troops to find out what is being offered this year.
Sweet Shop: Dip goodies into a chocolate fountain, learn to put icing on cookies, and design your own lollipops.
Camping Fun: Trail markers, camp songs, fire safety, how to pack, roll a sleeping bag, and of course – s’mores!
Kids Craft: Design jewelry, refrigerator magnets, tissue paper flowers, paint flower pots.
On Stage: Fun skits and play games.
Wearable Art: Tie-dye, safety pin necklaces, woven headbands, pom-poms.
